Big Spring Farm, the home of Swiss Pioneer Preservation Associates, was left to us, by member Paul W. Martin. Paul was the last of many generations of Martins to own the farm known as the "Spring" Isaac Martin farm. A strong spring has provided water to Martins on the land since the 18th century. Paul never married and had no heirs to inherit the farm. He was active in the Swiss Pioneers and when he died, the farm was generously donated to the Swiss Pioneer organization. 
Our grounds include many original buildings, including barns, the house, the restored Spring House, the reassembled Peter Martin log cabin, our Museum, a sawmill, and the Martin Family Graveyard.
